10 best Android games available right now (2022)

What are the top 10 best mobile games in India (2022) ?

Apex Legends Mobile
|

Price: Free to play

Apex Legends Mobile came out in 2022 and hit the ground running. It’s a battle royale shooter in the same genre as Fortnite and PUBG New State. However, this one came out relatively polished with some excellent controls, a few different game modes, and more interesting abilities. The base battle royale mode features 60 players across 20 squads. There is a ranked variant as well along with a team deathmatch mode.

You unlock new Legends as you play and each Legend has its own set of abilities. It’s new, so it’s a little light, but it got over ten million downloads in its first month and it’s honestly more fun than some other offerings in the genre.

Call of Duty: Mobile | Price: Free to play

Call of duty: mobile was our pick for the best android game in 2019. We usually wait a while before adding a game, but call of duty: mobile is so intensely popular with such a high rating that we added it more quickly than usual. The game has both a normal fps online pvp mode along with a 100-player battle royale. That puts it in a rare category where it does battle royale like pubg mobile, but also regular fps pvp like critical ops or modern combat. There is a surprising amount of stuff to do and the gameplay mechanics are solid and smooth.

It is a free-to-play game, but most of the in-game purchases are cosmetic items. You can find some more excellent fps games here or some general shooting games here if you want more options.

Genshin Impact | Price: Free to play

Genshin impact is an action rpg game with gacha mechanics. The game was also our pick for the best game of 2020. It received wide critical acclaim upon its release for its impressive visuals and excellent gameplay. It looks and acts a bit like zelda: breath of the wild, but nobody seems to really mind. The game does have a party system and you summon new characters through a gacha system similar to other gachas. However, the visual elements, gameplay mechanics, and the completely open world (complete with a glider) make the game feel a lot less restrictive than most in the genre.

Unless the developer messes this one up, it should remain excellent for a long time. There really isnt anything else like it on mobile and you can play on pc or playstation as well with the same save data even if it is annoying to set up at first. Of course, there are other excellent gacha games here if you want to see more.

Brawl Stars | Price: Free to play

Brawl Stars is Supercell’s latest hit game. It’s a brawler with online multiplayer elements as well as some MOBA elements. Players drop into a game with a couple of teammates, brawl with opponents, and try to win. There are a few game modes, including a straight brawl mode, a mode where you collect crystals, a heist mode where you steal the opponent’s treasure, and a bounty mode where you beat specific opponents on a team.

It feels like a Supercell game and that’s mostly a good thing. Supercell also makes Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, and Boom Beach. All of those could also easily go on a list like this if you like auto battlers (Clash Royale) or kingdom builder strategy games (Clash of Clans and Boom Beach). You can find more beat ’em ups here if you want more of that.

Diablo Immortal | Price: Free to play

Diablo Immortal joins Apex Legends Mobile as one of the biggest mobile game launches of 2022 so far. The game is an action RPG like the console and PC versions but scaled down for mobile. There are about a half dozen classes along with cameos from long-time characters in the kind of dungy, dark world that Diablo is known for. Each class has its own abilities along with its own pros and cons.

The controls, story, and combat are excellent. However, the leveling system is kind of jacked up and the best gear in the game costs a lot of real-world money. The issues with the game are fixable and some players don’t mind a little extra grind for better gear. It’s a good game, but it’s experiencing some knee-jerk anger over its microtransactions.

EA Sports games | Price: Free to play

EA has the market cornered on sports games. They are the only developer with yearl launches for most sports, including their Madden NFL Overdrive game, FIFA Soccer, NBA Live Mobile, EA Sports UFC, and others. These games all have very similar elements. You can play the actual sport and there is a sim mechanic in all of these games. The graphics are usually pretty decent and the controls are generally good. However, EA sports games have heavy free-to-play elements. That is a frequent frustration for many players and it makes it difficult to recommend EA in general.

Unfortunately, EA is the only developer that consistently makes games for most sports so that makes them the best by default. There are a few decent soccer games here and some general sports games here. You can also check out the best baseball games here, golf games here, football games here, and basketball games here.

Catalyst Black | Price: Free to play

Catalyst Black is a third-person shooter from Super Evil Megacorp. They are the same developers of Vainglory, another very successful MOBA. It has elements from both genres. Players shoot bad guys, level up their gear, and even kill bosses. The game also has excellent loadout customizations for its genre along with some other good features.

It’s not a full-blown MOBA, but there are some MOBA mechanics. Aside from there being a lot of bots and some bad matchmaking, it’s actually a pretty entertaining game.

Asphalt 9: Legends | Price: Free to play

The Asphalt franchise has some of mobile’s most popular racing games. Asphalt 8: Airborne and Asphalt Xtreme were the big ones in the series. However, Asphalt 9: Legends came out in July 2018. This is the most recent game in the series now. It includes 50 cars, a bunch of challenges, and a bunch of content to play with. That includes online multiplayer, single-player stuff, and more.

It uses an auto-go mechanism so you can’t control your acceleration. To be honest, it’s not the best implementation, but you get used to it. The graphics are good and there are social elements as well. It’s a freemium game. Thus, the online competitive aspect may be skewed a bit. However, the single-player stuff is classically good arcade racing. You can also skip in-app purchases with extra grinding. It’s tedious but entirely doable. Here are some other great racing games on mobile as well.

GRID Autosport | Price: $ 9.99

GRID Autosport launched in 2019 and immediately became one of the best racing games for Android. It’s a premium game with no in-app purchases or advertising, a rarity in this space. The game also boasts excellent graphics, excellent controls, hardware controller support, tons of content to play through, tons of cars to unlock, and a variety of racing styles.

The game is a bit expensive and it’s missing some smaller things racing fanatics tend to like, but it’s otherwise one of the best racing experiences in the Play Store. It doesn’t get updated frequently, which isn’t ideal, but it gets enough to keep it relevant. Riptide GP and the Asphalt series are also great racing games. You can find more great racing games (including the popular Asphalt series) here.

League of Legends: Wild Rift

League of Legends: Wild Rift is a 5v5 MOBA game. Mobile used to have a ton of these, but several kind of fell off over the last few years. League of Legends: Wild Rift is arguably the best of the bunch right now. Matches take about 15-20 minutes and that’s a bit long for a mobile MOBA. However, the game is fun, you can’t buy wins, and the developers seem intent on making sure this one stays balanced.

It’s not perfect. Casual games sometimes have unbalanced teams which can be frustrating. However, there isn’t much that can be done about it. This is a rock-solid MOBA in a genre where nothing has been consistent for a few years now. Of course, there are other good mobile MOBAs here if you’re interested.
